Inside my word tin

Good morning, afternoon or evening to you all!

I’m pretty excited today to share with you all my latest little side project. I think anyone with any interest in writing or words will love this just as much as I do.

Remember how in May I wrote a post called Healing through poetry? It wasn’t a particularly long or in-depth post, but I discussed how writing bad poetry had helped me during difficult times. It was a bit different from my usual posts, but you guys seemed to really enjoy it (yes, I was surprised), well this is quite similar to that. This side project wasn’t something I ever intended to share on here but I thought a few of you may enjoy it and want to create your own one, so I snapped up a few photos this morning whilst I was in my pyjamas still (its super cloudy today so moments of good lighting can not be missed) and got to work writing it out.

I want to introduce you all to my word tin…

Getting genuine engagement as a ‘new’ blogger

Since starting up Lost In The Story, I have gone a bit twitter mad.

I’m always on it, whether it’s looking a science gifs of big sea creatures eating smaller fish or finding recommendations of books to read, I’m always on it.

Truth be told, I don’t post all that often. Sure I retweet things but not really post. I’m not witty or sarcastic enough to really have a voice on twitter. I’m just the weird kid in the corner who is secretly listing in on your conversations, or at least that’s how I feel.

I’m not really into beauty or fashion blogging, because I have no sense of style and am too lazy to wear makeup. However, I love reading books, have a passion for God and care a lot about people’s mental heath. None of these things are popular niches in the blogging world, so I have to put some effort in to find these sorts of blog.

In doing my detective work on twitter, I’ve stumbled across something a bit unsettling Continue reading “Getting genuine engagement as a ‘new’ blogger”

Bullet Journal pages that I can’t do without

Life can get a little hectic right?

It doesn’t matter if you’re at college, university, work or just live a busy lifestyle. All of us can feel a tad overwhelmed at point. Or if you’re like me and you’re attempting to do a million things at once, well… you can feel like you’re drowning on a good day.

We’re only human, so it’s next to impossible to remember ever date, meeting and task. So a lot of us turn to planners to try to make sence of everything.

But a normal planer never did it for me.

I’m not sure if it was just too restrictive, inflexible or just too boring to want to use. I simply didn’t get a long with them. However, I needed something to get everything on paper.

Then I discovered bullet journaling. Continue reading “Bullet Journal pages that I can’t do without”

Favorites of 2017

I’m a bit of a book nerd.

I love to read, there’s something quite magical about losing yourself to a book. So to celebrate the end of a crazy 2017 and my love for books, I’m going to share with you my best reads of 2017.

There’s no particular order, I wanted to originally do my top five books but when it came to chosing them I just could decide out of two of them. So, here are my top 6 books of the year.
