5 things college has taught me about my mental health

College is coming to a close. Students are running around in a blind panic and tutors are close to banging their head on a wall. Yes the end of the academic year will soon be upon us, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

I’ve been at college for 3 years now and I am ready for it to end!

My first two years of forensic science were not too bad, but this final year of business has really seen me off. But despite these 3 years having a tone of difficulty’s and hardships, they’ve taught me an awful lot (I’m not just talking academically either). These 3 years have taught me so much about how to look after my mental health and that’s what I’d like to share with you today.

A bookish review- Braving the wilderness by Brené Brown

If there’s one thing that writing this post has taught me, it’s that I need to seriously up my photography game. I can not do a good flat lay for toffee. If you can do them then you’re not human. No human can do that.

Sadly though, it would be snowing here in the UK. I can’t get outside to take photos without getting my book sodden. So a white sheet and some pretty badges will have to do.

Don’t let perfectionism get in the way of success.

Now that a full term at college is over, it’s time for our reports to be sent home to parents.

Some students dread them. Some, like me don’t really waste too much time worrying about them. I know that I haven’t been too irritating this year, so I don’t give them a second glance.

I’m not sure how it works in other colleges but in mine, the report gets sent to us students and not to our parents. The only thing our parents get is an email to say our reports are out, it’s up to us students to actually hand it over.
